The Premier Badminton League is on in full swing. Olympic Silver Medallist PV Sindhu beat World No.3, Ji Hyun Sung, helping Chennai Smashers gain momentum in the tournament as they win by 4-3 against Mumbai Rockets.
Sindhu played 11-8, 12-10 against Sung to win the match at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bangalore, on Tuesday.
As the young champion entered the court, she was greeted with loud welcome cheers from the spectators. And Sindhu was all set to come out victorious from the match right from the beginning.
The leggy lass did a great job at covering the court thanks to her built, topped by tremendous wrist work that won her the match. In the first set, Sindhu ended the game with a perfect smash and took charge of it there on.

The second game opened with a fiery 44-shot rally which became the highlight of the rubber. The game saw Sindhu maintaining a lead with a score of 9-6; however Sung swung around and tied the match at 10-10. But Sindhu ended it after Sung did one service error and gave Sindhu a point.
After the Olympics, Sindhu has been basking in her glorious victories. She did not let herself loose and has been practicing harder right since she returned from Rio. The silver medallist has since then played the Hong Kong Open and reached the finals eking out 12-21, 21-8, 21-15 win over World No. 8 Yamaguchi. Then she went on to clinch the China Super Series Premier and won the opening match at the BWF World Super Series Final held in Dubai.
