The Gourmand Awards is one of the most prestigious food culture events in the world. Every year, they choose to honour the best food and wine books, both printed and digital, as well as television shows. They started honouring cookbooks and wine books in 1995 at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Now, Gourmand Awards include all food culture content. It is free and open to all languages.

In 2018, entries were received from from 211 countries and varied regions. This represented less than 3% of the total of such books published over the year. There are 88 categories this year and the winners were chosen from 569 finalists. Some winners of 2018 include Food, Health and Happiness by Oprah Winfrey and Chef Bo Bech’s cookbook What Does Memory Taste Like?.

The book contains her own experiments with food, dieting and weight loss. It includes meal plans and recipes along with scientifically sound advice on how to be gorgeous

She has also gathered health tips and recipes from some of India's top models like Priyanka Chopra, Milind Soman, Malaika Arora Khan, Gul Panag and Madhu Sapre, who advise a balance that allows you to eat what you like and still look your best.

CEO of HarperCollins India, Ananth Padmanabhan said, "We are so thrilled that Gorgeous won this prestigious award. It is an unusual book that mixes conversations on our relationship with our bodies with great recipes that help our mental and physical well-being. Shvetha's keen eye for detail shows in every page. The book is as delectable as the recipes it features.”

"Gorgeous is a wonderful book that broke the myth that models don’t eat. Its beautiful design, amazing recipes and the sheer novelty of the concept make it a truly deserving winner of this award," added Akriti Tyagi, Head of Marketing, HarperCollins.
