Khush Seerat Kaur Sandhu, the 17 year old girl and international shooting champion died by suicide on Thursday. The cause of her suicide is reported to have been the disappointment over her performance in recent game in New Delhi.
However, her parents say they did not see any visible sign of disappointment in her. "Had she shared what she was going through with us, we could have counseled her", the parents of Sandhu added.

2. The 17-year-old international sportsperson is said to have been unhappy with her performances in the recent games of 64th National Shooting Championship, where she did not win in an individual category but won the team medal in junior women civilian event.
3. Khush Seerat reportedly shot herself in the head with .22mm licensed pistol. However, the police could not find any suicide note.
4. The police were informed about her death in early hours of Thursday. The police has handed the body to family after autopsy and has launched an investigation into the incident.

5. She earlier entered into the world of sports as swimmer and won many medals at national level. However it was only was four years back that Khush Seerat entered the shooting arena.
6. Khush Seerat has won total of 11 medals in individual and team events of the 25m and 10m air pistol events in 2019.
7. She won gold medal in junior women civilian category in 25m pistol event along with the gold medal in 10m air pistol sub youth women category.
8.In the Junior Women Finals Round, she stood at fifth position where the Commonwealth Champion Manu Bhaker won.
9. She was also a part of the Indian team at the recently concluded Junior Shooting Championships by ISSF in Peru.
10. Her parents were unaware of the incident until morning. She was studying in her grandmother's ground floor room the night before the incident and her parent's were on the first floor, as per reports.
Former Punjab CM, Captain Amrinder Singh paid tribute to the talented girl through a post on Twitter. Earlier this year, the wrestler from Haryana's Charkhi Dadri, Ritu Phogat died by suicide over tournament that she lost during that time.
