Shocker: 7-year-old Allegedly Raped and Killed By Neighbour In Palwal

A 7-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered by a 22-year-old neighbour in a village in Haryana. The police reported that the accused has been arrested.

The police said that a 7-year-old was raped and strangled to death by her 22-year-old neighbour in a village of Palwal District in Haryana.

The incident took place on Monday and the accused allegedly dumped the body into a pit after murdering the 7-year-old in Palwal. The police said that the man has been arrested.

The crime took place when the girl’s parents were not at home. Her neighbour – Anand, allegedly lured her into the nearby fields and committed the crime.

It was found in the investigation that Anand was the only person in the entire locality who skipped work on that day. When the parents reached home and couldn’t find their daughter, they filed a missing report with the police.

The body was found when the police started investigating for the missing girl. The accused was detained by the police and put into questioning where he admitted to the crime he had committed.

Station House Officer (SHO) Pritam Singh said that the parents of the victim are originally from Madhya Pradesh and worked as daily wagers in the village in Haryana. He added that the accused who is a labourer also came from the same state.

The case against him has been registered under the sections of rape and kidnapping in the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in Mundkati Police Station.

Earlier this month, a 23-year-old woman was also gang-raped in the Palwal District. One of the accused lured her to a secluded area and committed the crime along with others.

The victim filed a report on May 12 in which she reported 20-22 names of men as the accused. The SHO reported that the key accused befriended the victim on social media and had promised to marry her.

Sub-Inspector Rajesh of Hassanpur Police Station in Palwal reported, “We have arrested the main accused. Efforts are on to nab others involved. An FIR has already been lodged and further investigations were under progress.”
