Shilpa Shetty statement on the ongoing Raj Kundra pornography investigation is out. Shetty wrote that "last few days have been challenging" for her on every front. The actor also addressed the rumours about her involvement in the case that have been doing rounds, saying that she is a "proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional. "People have put their faith in ME & I've never let anyone down," she wrote, adding that she and her family didn't deserve a media trial.

Shetty's husband Raj Kundra was arrested last month by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police in connection with alleged production and publication of videos that were of pornographic nature, via an app called HotShots. Kundra and Shetty's Juhu bunglow was also raided by the police and the actor herself had to undergo an interrogation in the course of the case's investigation.

Media and Not So Well Wishers Have Cast Aspersions on Me: Shilpa Shetty Speaks Up on Raj Kundra Pornography Case
Several reports have been doing rounds regarding the case against Kundra, Mumbai Police's subsequent probe in the matter, and whether or not Shetty was directly or indirectly involved in the matter. This is the first time the Hungama 2 actor has openly addressed the issue and released an official statement.
Shetty clarified that she won't be commenting on the matter as it was still subjudice, and also expressed her faith in the Mumbai Police and the Indian Judiciary. "As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies," she revealed.
Shetty went on to request everyone, "especially as a mother" to respect her privacy for her children's sake and refrain from "commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same. "Please let the law take its course."
So far there is no concrete evidence to suggest Shetty's role in Kundra's alleged porn video app.
