Raj Kundra Arrested: Mumbai Police stated that Shilpa Shetty husband Raj Kundra was primely involved in creating pornographic films and publishing them through a mobile application. The British-Indian businessman was arrested on July 19 by the police.

A statement by the Mumbai Police Commissioner stated that Kundra was the 'key conspirator' in the matter and they have enough evidence against him.
A case was registered with Crime Branch Mumbai prior to the arrest, in February 2021 regarding the production of pornographic films.
Few hours prior to the arrest, Kundra was called for questioning on Monday by the Crime Branch.
Kundra, however, denied the charges of making pornographic films and applied for an anticipatory bail related to the same.
Shetty and Kundra are parents to two children nine-year-old Viaan and one-year-old Samisha. They tied the knots in the year 2009.
According to the Indian Constitution, the selling and distribution of pornographic material are illegal in India under section 292 and publishing or manufacturing of the same is illegal in India under sections 292, 293.
While speaking to the paparazzi in Mumbai about the incident, singer Mika Singh mentioned that he has checked out one of Kundra’s apps. He dubbed Raj Kundra as a 'nice guy' and added that the court will decide what's right now.
" Maine ek app dekhi thi, wo simple app thi. Zyada kuch tha nahi uske andar so let's hope for the best ( I have seen one of his apps and that was simple, wasn't anything in it)," the singer said.
Kundra recently made headlines concerning the explosive statements he made about his former wife Kavita, accusing her of an affair with his brother-in-law.
Kundra issued the statement that his own mother caught Kavita and his sister's husband Vansh together in an objectionable situation red-handed several times.
