Shilpa Shetty And Sunanda Shetty FIRs: Another Legal Trouble For The Actor

Shilpa Shetty case: The actor and her mother Sunanda Shetty have now been named in an alleged case of fraud in Uttar Pradesh.

The mother-daughter duo is accused of committing fraud related to setting up a wellness centre in Lucknow. However, the wellness centre's owner has said that Shetty and her mother are not associated with them.

As per a report, the Lucknow police team is going to question Shetty and her mother, in response to the FIRs filed, in Mumbai. Reportedly, two FIRs were filed against the actor and her mother in Hazratganj and Vibhuti Khand police stations in Lucknow and the police has intensified the investigation in both cases.

- The police stated that Shetty and her mother allegedly took crores of rupees from two persons to open a branch of a Wellness Centre in Lucknow but the promise was not fulfilled. Shilpa Shetty is the chairperson of the wellness chain and her mother is the director.

- In this case, a woman named Jyotsna Chauhan, who is a resident of Omaxe Heights in Vibhuti Khand police station, and a man named Rohit Veer Singh at Vibhuti Khand filed two separate complaints with the police. They both alleged that the actor and her mother cheated on them.

- According to police officials, one team of Lucknow Police has reached Mumbai on Monday, while the other team will also reach Mumbai to question Sunanda Shetty and her daughter. -The owner of the said wellness centre recently issued a statement in which she said that Shetty and her mother had parted ways with their company a long time ago.

- Shilpa Shetty in a statement to Mumbai Police, Crime Branch said she wasn’t aware of the exact content of the controversial app. Further, adding that erotica cannot be considered as “porn”. - Now, Hazratganj Police and Vibhutikhand Police have sent notices for questioning Shetty and her mother in this fraud case.

- DCP (East) Sanjeev Suman assured that the investigating team will examine all the points the in fitness centre case in UP. He also stressed that the matter is high-profile and hence the police are closely investigating all the points.

- Meanwhile, Kundra had filed a plea at Bombay High Court seeking immediate release from judicial custody but the court dismissed it. The magistrate court had remanded Kundra on July 20 after which he was sent to police custody. The Bombay High Court ruled that the magistrate’s orders were within the conformity of law and didn’t need interference.
