SheThePeople To Partner Social Impact Awards SABERA 2021

SABERA 2021 (Social and Business Enterprise Responsible Awards) the annual social impact award and summit will be held on 10th December 2021 in New Delhi. Continuing its endeavour of giving back to society SheThePeople will be the knowledge partner for the event.

SheThePeople is India’s first women’s channel inspired by real stories and seeks to change the discourse on, about and for women. Fierce and firebrand, it’s a platform for stories of women breaking new ground as entrepreneurs, feminists, mothers, doctors, actors, artists, leaders, activists, homemakers and others who shatter glass ceilings in every sphere of life.

 Why Social Impact Matters?

SheThePeople believes that businesses should have a heart and try to make transformational changes at scale at a community level, specially so in a time marred by the pandemic.

SABERA awards which is in its fourth year will acknowledge the ESG best practices & sustainable development initiatives by corporates, nonprofits, and individuals. SABERA 2021  recently announced the Jury Chair for the year along with the final dates of the event. Renu Sud Karnad, MD HDFC Ltd. will lead the jury this year.

“The most challenging problems cannot be solved by the government and nonprofits alone. Hence, acknowledging a community of leaders that use business as a force for good, is an essential part of सबेरा SABERA,” said Supanaa Chadda, Founder Curator SABERA. The awards are organized by Simply Suparnaa Media Network a UN WEP signatory and have been supported by industry stalwarts since its inception.

The other partners include eShe e-magazine partner, United Nation Global Compact Network India as SDG partner and MGC Global Risk Advisory LLP as a knowledge partner. And Amazon is the gift partner for SABERA 2021.

SABERA 2021 has started to receive registrations from Multi-National Corporations, Public Sector Units, and nonprofits from across the country. The Individual award Category has NO Fees levied and for entities with under 40 lakhs turn over the fees are completely waived off. Further, for entities with a turnover of under 5 Crore the fees are highly subsidized.

This year too, participants will compete in three categories: Initiative; Individual; and Entity Awards. Each has subcategories pertaining to Initiatives undertaken in alignment with SDGs, Individual Changemakers challenging status quo, and Responsible Entities promoting ethical practices including Responsible ESG practices, respectively. In the latter a new sub-category, Promising Responsible Business has been introduced to include the start-up fraternity.

Save these dates

सबेरा SABERA 2021 will be hosted on 9th December. All entries will be screened in October and shortlisted finalists eligible for the awards will be announced on 9th November 2021 after the collective jury meet.

The last date of submission for the सबेरा SABERA 2021 Awards entry will be until September 30th midnight (IST) 2021. Late payment fees will be applicable on entries received after this date.
