Actor Sherlyn Chopra Summoned By The Mumbai Crime Branch Raj Kundra Case

Sherlyn Chopra Summoned: The Dil Bole Haddipa Actor Sherlyn Chopra, has been summoned by the property cell of Mumbai Crime Branch for questioning related to Raj Kundra Case.

Businessman Kundra remains in judicial in the pornography content production case on mobile app Hotshots. Sherlyn Chopra had levelled allegation of sexual misconduct against the businessman. She said that in 2019 he attempted to force himself on her despite her resistance. Chopra had revealed she has filed an FIR against the businessman husband of actor Shilpa Shetty. Kundra has been named as the “key conspirator”  by the Mumbai Police. More on the case here.

Amidst the porn case controversy, the former MTV Spiltsvilla host applied for bail fearing an arrest. The Mumbai High Court, however, rejected her bail plea.

As per a report in the Times of India, the actor Chopra in her police complaint alleged that after a business meeting, the businessman came over to her house and kissed her “even though she resisted.” Chopra indicated that she was not interested in getting involved with a married man and claimed that Kundra revealed his marriage with Shetty was “complicated”.

Chopra further said that she escaped the situation by going to her washroom after pushing Kundra away.

In a video on social media Chopra claimed she was the first to give her statement to the cyber cell of the Mumbai Police earlier this year. Also that she was the person who give authorities the lead on Armsprime, the company reportedly behind the Hotshots app. Chopra also revealed that she turned down Kundra’s proposal to work for the app since she considered the content “sleazy.”

As per reports close to 68 pornographic videos and a script with sexual content were found on Kundra’s laptop. Further four out of the eleven people arrested in relation to the case have decided to become witnesses against the businessman and his associates.

Mumbai Sessions Court will hear bail applications of Raj Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe  next on August 10.
