Six Things To Know About The Relation Between Actor Shehnaaz Gill And Her Father

Shehnaaz Gill Father Shot: The Punjabi actor and Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill's father Santokh Singh was allegedly shot at on December 25 evening. Santokh Singh alias Sukh alleged that the incident took place near the Jandiala Guru area in Punjab while he was travelling from Amritsar to Beas. The police are still investigating the case.

Singh was recently in news for joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the move is seen as significant considering the upcoming state Assembly elections in 2022. He was allegedly shot at by two people on the bike. Reportedly four shots were fired, and in response Singh's men threw bricks on the bikers, who then fled. Singh escaped as well. The police are still investigating the case.

Singh is the father of Honsla Rakh actor Shehnaaz Gill, who was in news recently for the death of her rumoured partner Siddharth Shukla. He due to a heart attack. Post his death, she kept her distance from social media till the release and promotions of her recent film with Diljit Dosanjh, Honsla Rakh. The film made headlines with the likes its trailer got on YouTube and the way her fans consoled her by trending the film on social media.

The actor has allegedly a dubious relationship with her father. While her father has shown love and support during the actor's tough time after Shukla's death, however, netizens seem to think otherwise. Even the news media reported instances where her father blocked her number and in interviews talked about how her daughter has lessened calling him, amongst other comments.

1. After the death of Siddharth Shukla, Gill's partner, Santokh Singh reportedly called to console her and even got a tattoo of her name on his arm.

2. He recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. In his recent interviews, he talked about his daughter and her sadness at losing her partner.

3. However, in an interview, in 2020, Singh had announced that he will never speak to his daughter. On her relationship with Shukla he said that his opinion would only matter if she considers him as her father.

4. According to his past interview, after Gill had shot to fame, Singh promised family members to introduce them to Gill but when she refused it, he felt that he was left "red-faced in front of his community."

5. But later, through a video on YouTube, Singh retracted his "I will never talk..." statement and said that he was angry at the time and now felt embarrassed in front of his friends.

6. When Gill was in Bigg Boss house and in one of the episodes the contestants were to meet their family members. Her father had gone into the house and said that he liked her game and her relationship with Shukla but asked her to focus on her game more.
