Asim Riaz Tweet:  The Bigg Boss 13 contestant, recently posted a tweet where he seems to be taking a dig at Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Shehnaaz Gill for moving on with her life post her rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Shukla's death. His tweet posted on Monday read, "Just saw few dancing clips … seriously people get over loved ones so soon Kya baat kya baat (Amazing)..…. #Newworld." The tweet comes after some photos of Shehnaaz dancing at the engagement bash of her manager surfaced online.

His tweet didn't go down well with a lot of netizens who are criticising him for being stone-hearted and insensitive to people grieving. In response, he took to social media and clarified that he was not referring to Shehnaaz. Here are 10 things to know about the controversy

1. Twitter users were quick to point out that Asim, through his tweet, was targetting Shehnaaz for appearing to ‘get over’ the death of her boyfriend Sidharth Shukla.
2. One twitter users wrote, "Oh so @imrealasim saw the few seconds of dancing but he forgot the unimaginable pain for months she went thru after losing a loved one? And rather than helping a colleague move on , speaking such words to get some attention? Waah!"
3. Another user said, "it just shows how the society treats woman. A man is hailed if he comes strong after a person loss but a woman is dragged down each time she tries to live life ... What a backward thinking of few ppl who call themselves celeb"
4. "This tweet shows the sickening, patriarchal and regressive mentality of Riaz brothers", wrote another.
5. Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla passed away in September due to cardiac arrest. His death at a young age came as a shock to many.
6. Since then, Shehnaaz Gill had been maintaining a low profile.
7. Her fans were happy to see her getting back to normal life when a video of the Punjabi singer dancing to Marathi hit number Zingaat at the engagement of her manager surfaced online.
8. Shehnaaz was seen in a black gown. She sported a loose pony paired with subtle make-up. She soon started trending on Twitter
9. Kashmera Shah, Monalisa, Paritosh Tripathi and Giorgia Andriani were also there at the engagement.
10. Asim has given a clarification on the same. He posted a text-on picture message on his Instagram stories that read, “Guys I got your attention and I think I need to clear this now. I lost one of my good friends last month from Jammu and a few of my friends from the same group are partying right now in Goa. So I was actually telling them not who you all are assuming and remember if I wanna say anything I have those guts to come up to say it directly. I have close ones too, I have my hommies around too. So stop targeting stop taking out loopholes and stop taking sympathy.”
