Marvel has roped in Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany to play She-Hulk in their upcoming series for Disney Plus. In the series, Maslany will play Jennifer Walter, Bruce Banner’s cousin who gets the same powers as him.
Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, welcomed Maslany on board. He tweeted “Welcome to the family, cuz! @tatianamaslany #SheHulk.”

She-Hulk is the last major Marvel comics character that was co-created by the late comic book writer Stan Lee. It revolves around Hulk/ Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, who is an attorney. She turns into She-Hulk when a blood transfusion from Bruce gives her new powers. As She-Hulk, she becomes an intelligent and controlled version of the Hulk.

Jessica Gao, who is known for writing the popular animated sitcom for adults Rick and Morty, will work as the lead writer on She-Hulk. It as also been reported that Kat Coiro is being roped in to direct the pilot and several other episodes of the series. Read more about it here.
The release date has not been announced for She-Hulk as of yet. However, other Marvel series such as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki are expected to arrive next year.
She-Hulk was announced in August last year at D23 Expo. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made the announcement for this series along with that of Ms Marvel and Moon Knight.

Tatiana Maslany
Tatiana Maslany is a Canadian actress who is known for her role in the science fiction television series Orphan Black. In 2020, she starred opposite Matthew Rhys in HBO's period legal drama Perry Mason.

Maslany was nominated for three Emmys and a Golden Globe for her work in Orphan Black. She won the Emmy for best actress for the same in 2016. She is the first Canadian actor from a Canadian series to win an Emmy in a key dramatic category. She has also appeared in supporting roles in films like Eastern Promises (2007) and The Vow (2012).
