Honey Singh's Wife Shalini Alleges Domestic Violence & Unwanted Touch By Father-in-Law

Shalini Talwar Honey Singh case: The popular rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has been accused of domestic violence by his wife Shalini Talwar. She also claimed that she was inappropriately touched by her father-in-law, further she has reportedly sought Rs 10 crore compensation from the rapper.

Talwar filed a case of physical and mental abuse against him under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court. She also sought protection and other reliefs. Talwar alleged that she was treated like a "farm animal".

Domestic violence case

Singh tied the knot with Talwar in January 2011 but it was only in 2014 when people got to know about their marriage. Now, a decade into their marriage, she has accused him of domestic violence and has filed a case against the Punjabi singer. She alleged being "subjected to numerous incidents of physical abuse, verbal, mental abuse and emotional abuse", by Hirdesh Singh (Honey Singh's real name), his parents and his younger sister. Talwar has also accused Singh of alcoholism, adultery and cruelty. More here.

According to a report in ZeeNews India, the singer's wife urged the court to order the singer to pay Rs 10 crore compensation.

Casual sex with women

Talwar has also levelled cheating allegations against her husband, saying he had multiple extra-marital affairs and that during the shoot of Brown Rang De, he was sexually involved with one of his female colleagues. She said he had frequent "casual sex" with multiple women and would not wear the ring or take her on his singing tours. Although, a source close to the couple revealed to Hindustan Times said "She supported him a lot. He had bipolar, then got a bit away from Bollywood, it was her who got him back to alright. He was depressed that they weren’t able to have a child.”

Mental harassment

The 38-year-old also accused Singh of "mental harassment" and cruelty. Talwar claimed to have battled with symptoms of depression and sought medical help.

Against Father-in-law

Talwar in her plea claimed that once her father-in-law walked into her room in inebriated condition while she was changing her clothes and grazed his hands over her "chest". All about the case here.

Shalini Talwar has usually maintained a low profile. The singer had once introduced Talwar on India’s Raw Star, as the person who has "shown him the most love". The couple celebrated their ten-year anniversary in January this year. Singh so far has not responded to the allegations levelled against him. The next hearing on the matter is scheduled for August 28.
