Shahdara Gangrape Survivor Father And Family In Shock
Speaking with NDTV, the survivor's father, who is bed-ridden, said, "No girl, no daughter should have to go through this. Not on any street or in any lane. The way she was beaten, traumatised, she was blamed wrongly. I don't care about justice- I want my daughter back home."
He also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gautam Gambhir and Congress leader Anil Choudhary visited them and gave them two months ration. "Who helps otherwise? Even if one begs, they don't get so much help," he said, adding that if people would have supported at the time, the incident would not have taken place.
Yesterday, there were rumours that the survivor had died by suicide, however, the Delhi Police had denied all these rumours and stated that if anyone spreads misinformation on social media in connection with the case, then they will be tried legally. The police have also lodged two FIRs against people for spreading misinformation.
