Living Liquidz is a popular liquor service across Mumbai that operates primarily through a namesake app. Some social media users, responding to Azmi's tweet, defended the service.

One user said, "I'm sure this is a scam. With Living liquidz it's always cash or card on delivery." Another wrote, "Been ordering Living Liquidz app for ages and they are always on time and prompt with their service."

Meanwhile, other Twitter users said there were several such fake numbers on Google for the delivery service and that others in the city too had complained of similar experiences as Azmi's.

"At least for my area, they've never accepted payment online, even if you select digital options. they send a CC machine with the delivery guy," one user said about the payment options for Living Liquidz.
