This phrase 'Woman Life Freedom' has become a rallying slogan for women across Iran who are standing up for themselves and each other. Sevdaliza decided to bring out the song at this time to show her support for the same. As a co-producer of the song, she released a statement writing, "I wrote a song for oppressed women around the world. I stand proud as an Iranian woman, and I support the fight of my sisters who shed their blood, hair, hearts, and brains to give us all the hope that, one day, we will be free." At a young age, she continues, "I became aware of this systematic means of forcing women into obedience through violence and intimidation. Our humanity demands that we stand against the oppression of women. Now and Forever."

People across the world are standing in solidarity with the women of Iran after the country broke out in huge protests following the tragic death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, a woman who was reportedly punished by the Morality Police last month. The police took Amini into custody after, according to them, she was found violating Iran's mandatory hijab rule. Reportedly, hundreds of people have lost their lives, some accounted for and some not, amidst the protests.
