Serena Williams Engaged To Alexis Ohanian

Our favourite sports star Serena Williams is engaged! Yayyyy!! And, who’s the luckiest guy in the world you might wonder… well, “Who the Heck Is Alexis Ohanian, and Why Would Serena Williams Want to Date Him?” Slate magazine headlined the exact words last year.

The magazine got the answers finally -- Williams not only wants to date him, but plans to marry him. Alexis Ohanian – Serena’s boyfriend and Reddit co-founder secretly proposed to her and it was obviously a “YES”.

Williams shared the good news via her Reddit account first, well why wouldn’t she?? She posted a poem along with a cartoon sketch of Ohanian in a usual manner – you know getting down on one knee – proposing the tennis pro (a diamond in hand!).

The poem goes like:

I came home

A little late

Someone had a bag packed for me

And a carriage awaited

Destination: Rome

To escort me to my very own "charming"

Back to where our stars first collided

And now it was full circle

At the same table we first met by chance

This time he made it not by chance

But by choice

Down on one knee

He said 4 words

And

I said yes.

While responding to this, Ohanian, posted from his own Reddit account, said, “kn0thing" (hence the "Mrs. kn0thing" in the drawing), writing, "And you made me the happiest man on the planet."

Aren’t they made for each other? He added, “you're also a really cute Snoo. As I was drawing this for you, I thought, "Our Snoos should go out on a date sometime."

It wouldn't be a surprise if the couple very soon say "I do!" because reportedly they first started dating in 2015.

Ohanian also announced the news via a post on his Facebook page.
