Both Khan and Kapoor are former co-stars of the late Sushant Singh Rajput. Khan starred alongside Rajput in her debut movie Kedarnath. Kapoor worked with Rajput in his last film venture, Chhichhore. As per reports, NCB may also summon actor Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simone Khambatta soon.
NCB Investigation
The NCB arrested Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik earlier this month for their alleged involvement in a drug nexus. In her statement to the NCB, Chakraborty reportedly named Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and designer Simone Khambatta.
However, Chakraborty had later “retracted her confession” to the NCB. She claimed to have been “coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions.” Last week, Rakul Preet Singh appealed to the Delhi HC against her media trial in the SSR-drug probe. Advocate Aman Hingorani, submitted a plea on Singh's behalf to the court, which said that media reports concerning the actress violate I&B Ministry guidelines.
So far, the police have arrested 16 people in this matter. Chakraborty is now in police custody till September 22, after the court rejected her bail plea earlier this month.
