After a video of her partying appeared online, Sanna Marin, the prime minister of Finland, received criticism. The 36-year-old, who is the youngest president in the history of the nation, has previously come under fire for spending too much time at concerts and nightclubs.
Marin is shown drinking with a group of friends in the video, which appears to have first been uploaded to Instagram Stories, while also dancing and singing along to songs by Finnish rapper Petri Nygrd and pop singer Antti Tuis. The singer Alma, influencer Janita Autio, TV host Tinni Wikström, YouTuber Ilona Ylikorpi, radio host Karoliina Tuominen, stylist Vesa Silver, and MP Ilmari Nurminen from Marin's Social Democratic Party are among the Finnish public figures who can be seen in the video, according to the Iltalehti newspaper.
Sanna Marin Leaked Video
According to the newspaper, it is impossible to determine with certainty when and where the video were shot. The videos appear to have been shot in a personal flat. On Wednesday night, Iltalehti was unable to speak with Marin or her team to get their thoughts on the footage. The partying and social media promotion of Marin, which deviates from the conventional approach of a prime minister, has generated a lot of debate.
After coming into contact with a COVID-19 case the previous year, Marin apologised for staying out late at a club. The PM left the house for dinner and beverages only hours after learning that her Foreign Minister had tested positive; at first, she had been assured she didn't need to isolate herself because she had had all of her vaccinations, but she later failed to notice a text telling her to do so.
She stated that the text message had been sent to her official phone and not the personal phone she was carrying, and that was why she had missed it. For concerns of national security in the event of an emergency, critics of the PM claimed she should have always had her official phone with her. Marin was referred to as the "coolest politician in the world" by the German publication Bild this week.

Since the invasion of Ukraine in February, Marin has criticised Russian President Vladimir Putin in a vocal manner. Together with Magdalena Andersson, the president of Sweden, she had pushed for the NATO membership of their two historically neutral countries. This week, Finland unveiled a new offensive against Russia by slashing the number of tourist visas to just 10% of current levels. The administration stated on Tuesday that the move, which takes effect in a month, was motivated by growing unhappiness over Russian tourism in the context of the conflict in Ukraine.
