Second seeds India's Sania Mirza and her Czech partner Barbora Strycova advanced the finals of the Toray Pan Pacific Open, defeating the unseeded pair of Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and Spain's Maria Jose Martina Sanchez 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 on Friday.

The entire match lasted for just 48 minutes, and the do were unbeatable converting all the five breakpoints that they got. Earlier, the Indo-Czech pair were up against against Japan's Miyu Kato and China's Yifan Xu and won 6-2, 6-2 in their quarter-final encounter. They also beat Misaki Doi and Kurumi Nara 6-7 (3), 7-5, 10-8 in the first round of the women's doubles event.

Sania and Barbora who were beaten in the quarter-finals of the US Open recently, are playing their third tournament together. Last month, the duo also clinched the Cincinnati Open title in the final against Martina Hingis and Coco Vandeweghe.

Sania and Barbora will now face the winners of the match between China's Chen Liang and Zhaoxuan Yang and third seeded Raquel Atawo and Abigail Spears from the United States.
