Sandra Bullock is Miss Congeniality For Real!

In an epic encounter, Sandra Bullock takes on the shallow façade of the glamour world and challenges the ideas of beauty bound by high-heels and shiny-red nails – she must navigate this vanity-insanity to protect her loved ones from psychopaths who are out to destroy women. No, this is not a throwback to everyone’s favorite Bullock flick- Miss Congeniality. Bullock is kicking up this storm in reality, and her comments in this E! News interview are precisely the sense that the world needs knocked into its head.

She was recently named People’s 2015 “World’s Most Beautiful Woman,” and while she scoffed at the concept, she decided to accept the title and utilize the platform to instead pay a tribute to real women braving real life struggles, and exuding scads of inner beauty.

“When said they're going to be generous and bestow me this wonderful privilege, but I said if I can talk about the amazing women who I find beautiful, which are these women who rise above and take care of business and do wonderful things, and take care of each other, then I'm more than honored to be on the cover of this."

She wanted to take the stage to blow the roof off these ridiculous standards and criteria for beauty in women, set by the media – which is increasingly ageist and vain.

"I feel like it's become open hunting season in how women are attacked and it's not because of who we are as people, it's because of how we look or our age,"

The loved one she’s trying to protect in this real life epic is none other than her son, who she wants to raise to respect women for who they are - but the media suggesting otherwise is making it increasingly hard for her. “My son is getting ready to grow up in this world and I'm trying to raise a good man who values and appreciates women, and here we have this attack on women in the media that I don't see a stop happening."

But she’s relieved she has a son, because she is terrified about the pressures that young girls are facing. "Little girls are having the hardest time with bullying and the internet. We are harming girls and women in a way, at a speed that it's scaring me. It's really scaring me. Somebody with a very large hand and big voice needs to put a stop to it."

However, she’s amused- delighted in fact, at how this gross objectification of women in the industry is uniting, to call out the “onslaught” they face the “minute they step out.”

"You'd be surprised at the love that you have in our crazy industry," Bullock said. "The women have bonded together and have sort of become this tribe of trying to take care of each other and be there for each other in a way.”
