Sajid Khan's participation in Bigg Boss 16 has created an uproar and continues to spark controversy. Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal in a letter to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur demanded the eviction of filmmaker Sajid Khan from the reality show Bigg Boss. The letter was written over allegations of sexual harassment against him by several female actors during the #MeToo movement.
DCW chief Swati Maliwal spoke about Sajid Khan on her Twitter account on Monday. She voiced that the considerable complaints against him reveal his disgusting mentality. She hinted that the matter was also discussed with Anurag Thakur.
Sajid Khan Biggboss Controversy
Maliwal wrote in Hindi, She commented, "Ten women accused Sajid Khan of sexual harassment during the #MeToo movement. All these complaints show the disgusting mentality of Sajid. However, man has been offered a place in Bigg Boss, which is wrong. I have written to @ianuragthakur to have Sajid Khan removed from this show."
Maliwal also shared pictures of her letter sent to Anurag Thakur, in which she enclosed complaints levelled against Khan by multiple women.
The letter read "While there is a public outcry against Khan's inclusion in the show, the makers of the show are refusing to remove him, as they gain TRP ratings and viewership due to the ensuing controversy."
Celebrities have strongly objected to the makers' decision to allow Sajid Khan in the Show. The list includes Sona Mohapatra, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Uorfi Javed, and Saloni Chopra.

Indian Film and Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) suspended Sajid Khan during the MeToo movement in 2018 after the allegations were made.
