Good news for Indians as ace shuttlers Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu marched into the women's singles quarter-finals of the ongoing All England Championships on Thursday. They both showed what is called great expertise on the court and won their respective second round ties.
While Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu crushed Indonesian Dinar Dyah Ayustine with a straight 21-12, 21-4 win, eighth seed London Olympics bronze-medallist, Saina Nehwal, too, sealed a place in the last-eight of the tournament after she successfully knocked out German qualifier Fabienne Deprez with a 21-18, 21-10 win.

Both Saina and Sindhu are the only Indians leading the country's challenge at the Super Series Premier tournament. Pullela Gopichand had won the tournament in 2001. In 2015, Saina had reached the finals but lost to Spain's Carolina Marin.
