Rose McGowan: Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood alleged that musician Marilyn Manson “horrifically abused” her for years.
Actor, activist and one of the pioneers of the #MeToo movement, Rose McGowan took to Twitter and extended support saying, "I stand with Evan Rachel Wood and other brave women who have come forward."
The Charmed actress further shared. "It takes years to recover from abuse and I send them strength on their journey to recovery. Let the truth be revealed. Let the healing begin."

In an Instagram post, 33-year-old Wood claimed, “I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail,” adding that the incidents took place when they were together from 2007 to 2010. She further accused Manson of brainwashing and manipulating her into submission. “I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”
They got engaged in 2010, however, they called it quits later that year. Like Wood, McGowan and Manson were engaged for two years before ending their romance in 2001. She told E! News at the time that they were in love but their lifestyle was different and that gap was "unfortunately, even greater."
After the allegations made against him, Loma Vista Recordings, which released Manson’s three most recent albums, has ended the relationship with the singer. “In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately,” the statement reads. They have also decided not to work with him in future.
Marilyn Manson released a statement
Responding to Wood’s allegations, Manson released a statement in an Instagram post on Monday night saying that all claims about him are "horrible distortions of reality."
He wrote. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
