Netflix is set to air the final season of its one of the catchiest and controversial series of the year -- House of Cards. The sixth season is soon to be out but without Kevin Spacey in the lead, if the reports are to be believed.
The pull the plug on House of Cards came in the wake of Kevin Spacey coming out as gay after the sexual abuse allegations. This controversy caused the abrupt termination of the actor and now we will see Robin Wright as Claire Underwood in the lead.

Fans were left in irk mood when the 5th Season ended with Wright’s overtly and newly found betrayal intention, looking into the camera and declaring as a farewell statement -- “It’s my turn.”
Over the seasons, Frank Underwood has managed to garner a lot of popular attention. In this scenario, if the makers put up Wright's character in the forefront, there's a chance fans won't take it lightly.
It is still unclear how Spacey’s Frank Underwood will be written out of the show. But all signs point towards the character's not-so-subtle off-screen death.
"The eight-episode farewell season will bring closure of the show for fans,” said Netflix president Ted Sarandos, at a UBS conference, per Deadline.
Last month, the series' production had to be stopped after Spacey was accused of sexual misconduct. Several others, including Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp accused the Oscar winner of sexual exploitation. Even crew members of the House of Cards told CNN that Spacey created a “toxic” work environment through alleged acts of sexual harassment and assault.

Spacey, however, is now seeking peace and taking the time necessary to find evaluation and treatment to rebuild his reputation from last month's destruction.
