Actor Rishi Kapoor has been accused of abusing a woman on Twitter. There is a screenshot of a direct message allegedly from the actor to someone called “DardEdiscourse”. The woman's name is Shivani Channan.
The user said that Kapoor wrote an explicit message to her after she posted a meme featuring 2013 film 'Besharam'. In the film, actor Ranbir Kapoor is shown with his parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. The meme was made after Rishi Kapoor had made a reference to Rahul Gandhi’s speech in Berkeley.
He had said, “Rahul Gandhi. In the 106 years of Indian cinema of India, Kapoor's contribution is 90 years. And each generation is chosen by public on merit... So don't bull**it people on 'dynasty'. You have to earn people's respect and love through hard work not zabardasti and gundagardi."

So now people are obviously angry at his behaviour, and many celebrities are blocking the actor. Comedian Aditi Mittal also posted something against him:
Hi @TwitterIndia, little help with reporting abusive DM's? https://t.co/yd4rg63Mgf

Even veteran actors can't get away with being abusive on social media. We sure are glad that people are calling him out on what he said.
Not The First Time
This isn't the first time the actor has been called out for his sexist tweets. During the ICC Women's World Cup, he had tweeted: "Waiting for a repeat of Sourav Ganguly’s act on the balcony of The Lords Ground, London, when India beat England 2002 NatWest series final! YO”

No Apology
And he isn't even apologetic. In an interview with HT, he said: "Anyone does this, (you should) go to their DMs, screw the s**t out of them and block them. These are youngsters who get cheap thrills by abusing celebrities," he said.
So let's hope now that the social media flak against him makes him take notice and mend his ways.
