On December 30, Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant got into a car accident while he was on his way to visit his mother for New Year. The accident was so severe that his car exploded into flames just before the cricketer escaped out of it.
New Year is around the corner, people are travelling back home from all parts of the world and this is true for the celebrities as well. Indian Cricket team's batsman and wicket keeper Rishabh Pant was also visiting his mother after his busy schedule to spend the New Year with her when his Mercedes crashed into the divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

Rishabh Pant Car Accident
Rishabh Pant is very close to his mother Saroj Pant who played an important role in his cricket journey. She used to take him to Delhi from Roorkee on weekends for his cricket practice and used to stay at a gurudwara in Moti Bagh, Delhi as they had no place to stay on their short visit. She was urging Pant to come home for New Year for quite a few days now and hence, the cricketer decided to surprise her and was travelling back home to Roorkee.
However, at around 5:30 am, his car crashed into a road divider causing damages to the car and the cricketer. He was able to escape the car that started burning as soon as he got out. The cricketer was saved by a bus driver named Sushil Nagar as he called an ambulance. He was taken to the Max Hospital in Dehradun and his mother was informed of the accident. She rushed to the hospital and was really stressed over her son's critical condition. Later, the doctors declared him out of danger with injuries in his back, forehead, wrist, toe and a ligament tear.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reportedly called Saroj Pant to know about Pant's health and to console her. The accident happened when Pant accidentally doozed off for a moment while driving and everyone who knew about the incident called him very lucky, looking at the condition of his car after the accident.
