But before she knocked Shin Chia-Lin out of the game, earlier Devi nailed it against Austria’s Laurence Baldauff in the women’s 1/64 individual elimination event. This news appears to be glorious as after a disappointing all-together Indian team s’ campaign, India finally now have a reason to cheer.
Excellent shoot Bombayla Devi. I am very happy to see your confidence. Keep going. Make India proud.👏👏👏

Earlier this event, team India lost against world champions Russia in the quarters and the trio of Laxmirani Majhi, Bombayla Laishram, Deepika Kumari disappointed the nation. But this time, Bombayla’s consistency in putting up good arrows in individual events finally paid off. It was Atanu Das on Tuesday who also made in proud and sealed it with ease.
Deepika Kumari is the other archer who will take field later in the day but till then, let's cheer out loud for Bombayla Devi.
