The CBI is investigating the Rajput’s death, who was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. He was 34. In July, Rajput’s father, Krishna Kumar Singh, had filed an FIR against his son's ex-girlfriend Chakraborty and her family at a police station in Bihar. The actress, however, claimed that she was innocent and had nothing to do with the late actor’s alleged suicide case.
Rhea Chakraborty, in previous interviews, had categorically denied consuming banned substances, alleging that it was Rajput who used to consume them. However, she has allegedly confessed to the consumption of marijuana to the NCB. On September 10, she was arrested by NCB.
