With an intriguing first look, actress Raveena Tandon flaunts fearlessness in her comeback film Maatr - The Mother. Despite of her glamourous roles in her earlier movies, director Ashtar Sayed has been able to bring out the best of her fierce look in the film's poster.

Maatr's first look poster was launched by film critic Taran Adarsh, who also confirmed the date when its teaser is releasing -- on April 21, 2017.
As the name suggests, Raveena would be seen playing a mother’s role in the film. Scripted by Michael Pellico, the film is said to be as an action-thriller. If you look at the poster closely, you would find the word mother written in different languages and very much caricatured on Tandon's face.

You know what we are taking about. Very recently, veteran Sridevi, too, had shared her next film titled ‘Mom’. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film unveiled a rather similar but very mysterious poster confirming that the actress will play the role of a mother in her next film too. And guess what? The poster not only reveals the title ‘Mom’ but also shows the word written in several languages and forms.

While Tandon was on a hiatus from the film business for quite some time now, her comeback film shouldn't seem to be a copy of another film. Also, what is it with Bollywood making so many mom-centric films these days? Not that we don't appreciate such films and the strong messages they try to portray.

We don’t disagree that Maatr’s first look is very intense and will surely give goosebumps while we watch it in theatres. As of now, we only know that the film is based on a subject that is related to every woman who doesn’t tolerate violence and strongly fights back abuse against women in any form. It also stars Madhur Mittal as the antagonist.
