Rakul Preet Singh along with others was summoned in a drug case registered with the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department. According to the reports, the celebrities who have been summoned aren't named as accused yet.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had summoned celebrities such as director Puri Jagannadh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja and Rakul Preet Singh in connection with a 4-year-old drug case. The case is about the trafficking and consumption of drugs. The case was registered by Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department.

Other celebrities who were summoned in the drug case were Nandu, Tarun, Tanish, Navdeep, Mumaith Khan and Charmee Kaur. Along with Ravi Teja, his driver is also summoned.
The senior officials of the agency said, "It is premature to say whether they are involved in money laundering." The agency also added that the celebrities like Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Rakul Preet Singh and Puri Jagannath aren't named as accused.
Reportedly, 12 Cases were registered with the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department after they had seized drugs worth Rs 30 lakh. To that effect, 11 charge sheets were filed against drug traffickers.
An official from ED said, "Around 12 cases were booked by Telangana Excise and Prohibition department and 11 charge sheets were filled. Mostly drug traffickers around eight persons were charge sheeted in the cases then. Most of them are lower-level drug traffickers. We have called excise officials as witnesses."
The official further added, "Likewise, till we get evidence Tollywood celebrities will be considered as witnesses. Likewise, till we get evidence Tollywood celebrities will be considered as witnesses. Their names have figured in the investigation."
At the beginning of July, Yami Gautam was summoned by ED in connection to a money laundering case. Gautam allegedly received 1.5 crores in her account and has to visit the federal office in connection with the alleged irregularities under FEMA.
