Apart from Singh and Jagannadh, Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati, Navdeep, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Nandu and Tarun have been summoned. Teja's driver Srinivas and another unidentified person working as general manager of F Club were also summoned by the ED.

Singh will be appearing for interrogation on September 6 while Daggubati on September 8. Further, Teja will appear on September 9.

However, one of the senior officials of the ED stated, "It is premature to say whether they are involved in money laundering,"

Previously, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the excise department didn't proceed against the actors due to lack of evidence, according to a report by The Times Of India. Hence, it was assumed that the actors were given a clean chit. No charge sheets were filed against them.

The SIT previously also collected hair and other samples from the accused in the Tollywood drugs abuse case but no further information was stated. After questioning the actors, they vehemently denied their role in the same to the SIT.

Back in 2017, 12 cases were registered by the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department after seizing drugs worth ₹ 30 lakh, according to a report by NDTV. Charge sheets were filed in 11 cases against drug traffickers.
