What levels could an individual cross violate another person? It is unimaginable. However, when one come across a sexual assault incident, one can possibly think cruelty can touch new low against women. A recent incident that came to light almost after a year, wherein eight men repeatedly gang-raped a 17-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi town in December last year and created a video of sexual assault to blackmail her.
The accused forced the survivor to pay ₹50,000 for the video, otherwise, they would leak it. Later, the accused tried to blackmail her into paying ₹2.5 lakh. However, the survivor couldn't pay the demanded money, so the video clip was released.
Rajasthan Teenager Raped Video Leaked
Thereafter, the teenager’s father filed a first information report (FIR) on 29 September, Thursday, after the video in circulation for some time reached him.
The girl allegedly detailed the sequence of events to her family. In his complaint, the father narrated the ordeals of a minor daughter. FIR read the minor was raped by eight young men from Bhiwadi in the same neighbourhood where she resides, in December last year. A Group of boys filmed the assault and blackmailed her. In January this year, a girl was again gang raped and then forced to pay ₹50,000 to keep the video a secret.
Police officials claimed the men later demanded more money. When she couldn't pay the ₹2.5 lakh the video was leaked. Police also stated the girl’s medical examination is under process.

The crime against women is increasing in India, minor are targeted easily. Rajasthan recorded 6,337 rape cases in 2021, the highest in the country, as per the National Crime Records Bureau. It is followed next by Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Over 1.71 lakh rape cases were registered in the country between 2015 and 2019. The Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar stated in Rajya Sabha that out of the total number of reported cases, 20,937 were registered in Rajasthan.
