A Rajasthan rape accused was threatening the woman who filed the case to withdraw it according to a Police statement. He later stabbed her to death while being out on bail. The accused has been arrested on Monday.

A man from the Sirohi district of Rajasthan was accused of raping a woman last year. According to Additional Director General (Crime) Ravi Prakash Meharda, the rape accused was pressurising the rape survivor to withdraw the case. He then stabbed her to death at her residence Nagani village in Sirohi district on Saturday night. At the time this happened, the rape survivor's sister was also at home and got injured while trying to help her sister. She also managed to raise an alarm but the accused fled the spot.
The rape accused Netram was arrested by the police on Monday, confirmed Meharda. He added, "He had raped the victim and a case had been lodged against him in November 2020. He had been arrested by the police and had been in judicial custody for six months."
The rape survivor was a widow who was working in the Anganwadi of the village. The accused was her neighbour. He allegedly raped her under the pretext of seeking help and a complaint of rape had been lodged by her against him, according to reports.
According to the police statement, the Rajasthan rape accused, Netram was out on bail since April and was threatening the rape survivor since then. But she was reportedly not responding to his calls. The man then approached the survivor's house in the disguise of a woman. After this, he barged into her house on Saturday night while she was sleeping and stabbed her.
