Rajasthan Schools To Reopen For Classes 10 To 12 From February 1

Though students will only be allowed to come to campus for studies only if they get written consent from the parents or the guardian.

Rajasthan Schools Reopen: Schools in Rajasthan are scheduled to reopen from February 1 this year. Although, they will only open for the students in classes 10 to 12 on this date. Schools for students of classes six to nine will reopen from February 10. All the schools will have to strictly follow the COVID-19 guidelines. The reopening of school announcement was made by the state government on January 28 after the state saw a dip in the cases.

According to the reopening guidelines, the schools opening physically for students will not close down the option of online classes and education. Until now, all schools in Rajasthan were shut considering the steep rise in COVID-19 and Omicron variant cases. Moreover, most students back then were not vaccinated against the virus.

An important thing to be noted is that the students will only be allowed to come to campus for studies only if they get written consent from the parents or the guardian.

Along with the reopening of schools, markets and other business establishments will stay open till 10 PM while the public discipline curfew had been abolished. The new guidelines were issued by the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Abhay Kumar. The night curfews will continue from  11 PM to 5 AM every day. The state also declared that employers and office heads will declare, after January 31, in offices that all the persons need to be fully vaccinated.

The maximum number of guests at any kind of gathering will be limited to 100. The new guidelines will be effective from January 31.

According to the health department bulletin, Rajasthan registered 9.227 fresh cases of coronavirus and 20 deaths. Some 16,087 people have recovered during the day and at present 87,268 people are under the treatment. According to ANI updates, India has reported 2,35,532 new COVID-19 cases, 871 deaths and 3,35,939 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate stands at 13.39 percent.
