Rajasthan Revenge Case: Man Slits Daughter's Throat, Sets Her On Fire

In a case of a domestic feud that has shocked the Pali town community in Rajasthan, a father took revenge on his daughter by slitting her throat and setting her on fire. The preliminary investigation revealed that the accused has been living away from his wife and children for twelve years in Pali, Rajasthan, while his family lived in Gujarat.

The police are currently making efforts to nab the absconding accused and have registered a case against him. The incident of the brutal murder took place in the Siyari village of Pali district in Rajasthan.

Man Slits Daughter's Throat

The accused is identified as Shivlal Meghwal (57) while the deceased daughter is identified as Nirma (32) who is survived by a minor son and a husband living in Gandhidham, Gujarat. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that Meghwal had been living separately from his family for 12 years in Pali while his children and wife have been living in Gujarat. In the complaint filed by the deceased's kin, it was alleged that the victim's father believed that his daughter Nirma was the reason behind the discord in the family due to which the accused had committed the gruesome crime.

According to the police, Nirma along with her husband went to Pali to attend a wedding when the father asked Nirma and her younger sister to accompany him as he had to go somewhere. 

Meghwal then took his daughters to a secluded place and pretended that he lost his phone asking his younger daughter to wait while he took Nirma to a secluded place. He then found a moment to commit his crime and slit her throat and further set her body ablaze after sprinkling petrol on her. 

When Meghwal returned to his younger daughter waiting for them, she spotted blood stains on his hands and raised an alarm that gathered the village residents. The village residents then called up the police, post which Nirma's half burnt body was discovered.
