A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 26-year-old man on Tuesday night in Pali, Rajasthan. He offered the girl a packet of chips and took her to an isolated place and allegedly raped her. The accused is married and has three children.
According to the Times of India, the families of both the accused and the survivor had gone to attend a wedding function. The family members of the girl saw the accused taking her with him but no one objected because the accused and the family of the survivor were known to each other.

When none of them returned for long, the family members called the accused but he did not answer the phone. Subsequently, they started searching for the girl and found her crying near her home late at night. The accused fled from the spot after allegedly raping her.
According to The New Indian Express, the accused has been identified as Omaram Nayak. He was arrested late Wednesday night under relevant sections of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act based on a complaint lodged by the family members of the minor girl.

Similar incident in Churu
In a similar incident, a six-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by a minor on Wednesday in Churu, Rajasthan. The accused is yet to be nabbed. Police have registered the case against the accused and started the investigation.
According to the Times of India, the survivor was playing alone on the road in Sardarshahar, Churu district. The accused took her to an abandoned house and allegedly went on to sexually assault her.
A police official said that the survivor's mother was taking a bath inside the house when the incident occurred. “When the mother found the girl missing, she started looking for her and on hearing her crying, she found the accused assaulting her,” added the police official. The accused reportedly fled from the spot.
