As per sources, in his petition filed in the court, Kundra argued that he has been wrongly arrested in the case and termed himself innocent. The police officials have maintained that he refused to sign Section 41 (A) of CrPC, which issues a notice directing the person against whom a reasonable complaint has been made. His lawyer contended that Kundra was arrested as he didn’t give the notice. Meanwhile, the police arrested Ryan Thorpe, who served the notice.
The Bombay High Court is hearing Kundra's plea. The 45-year-old was arrested for allegedly producing and circulating pornographic material on mobile apps. He will remain in judicial custody till August 10, as ordered by the magistrate court on Tuesday.
