Raj Kundra Pornography Case: Bail Hearing To Be Held In High Court On July 27

Raj Kundra bail hearing : Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra has been in the limelight for the past few days over whether or not his company makes pornographic content. While the rich businessman has been sent into judicial custody till July 27, the hearing for his bail plea is now scheduled to be held in High Court tomorrow (July 27), his lawyer revealed on Monday.

In the controversial case, the Mumbai crime branch team raided Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra's bungalow which is located at Juhu, Mumbai. Her statement was recorded the same day. Reports now claimed that the actor will most likely be called for interrogation again.

According to a report, the crime branch is said to be planning to clone Shetty's phone and may question her again to know if she is anyhow involved in the alleged porn racket. Noted here, she has denied having any links with the Hotshots app, the businessman's controversial app that the police believe was used for streaming porn. She went on to defend her husband, stated that Kundra made “erotic films, not porn” and that he is innocent and wrongfully arrested.

Meanwhile, four employees of the company that Kundra runs have turned witnesses in the case involving the production and distribution of porn films. They revealed to police that they were asked to delete clips, said sources to NDTV. The employees further confirmed to the channel that the clips were uploaded from HotShots. Since the app has been removed from Google store and IOS, so the makers have "activated Plan B" and launched another app, Bollyfame, police claimed.

What’s the case background?

Well-known businessman, Kundra is accused of creating and producing pornographic films through the app Hotshots under his company, Viaan industries. Shetty’s statement was crucial for the ongoing investigation as she used to be a director in Viaan Industries but recently resigned, officials said.

He was taken into custody in the late night on July 19. He has reportedly approached the Bombay high court to challenge his arrest as being “illegal’.’ He has reportedly denied all allegations levied against him and reportedly said the videos might be described as "lascivious" but do not show "explicit sexual acts".
