Former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar and her husband Deepak Kochhar were arrested by the CBI on Friday in a case linked to alleged irregularities in an over ₹ 3,000-crore loan provided to the Videocon Group when she was heading the private sector bank. Chanda Kochhar, 59, had quit as CEO and managing director of ICICI Bank in October 2018 over allegations.

She has been accused of criminal conspiracy and cheating by the CBI for alleged irregularities in a loan of ₹ 3,250 crore in 2012 to the Videocon Group, which became a non-performing asset for the ICICI Bank. A whistleblower alleged that Kochhar's husband Deepak and her family members benefited from the dealings.

Anuradha Roy Conferred Sahitya Akademi Award 2022

Anuradha Roy’s  2018 novel All the Lives We Never Lived won the Sahitya Akademi Award 2022. The Sahitya Akademi Awards 2022 were announced for 23 languages including seven poetry collections, six novels, two story collections, two literary criticisms, three plays and one autobiography.

Roy in a previous interview with SheThePeople spoke about All The Lives We Never Lived and said, “This character had been with me for a few years, and everything else, even the era in which the book is set, came from this point."

Sania Mirza, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur, is all set to become India’s first Muslim woman fighter pilot. The daughter of a television mechanic Shahid Ali, Sania secured an overall 149th rank in National Defence Academy (NDA) exam. Mirza has been selected to become a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force and would be the country’s first Muslim girl and the state’s first IAF pilot.

State, interstate, and international wanted lists have been updated to include the woman, who is reportedly Olga Bykovskaya, according to Ukrainian investigation agencies.

On April 12, the startling 30-second video was made public as Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, accused Russian troops of committing “hundreds of rapes,” including sexual assaults on young children, in his nation.

Australian Man Travels To India To Marry MP Woman

Australian man, Ash Haunschild travelled to India to get married to Tabassum Hussain, the daughter of a cycle repairman. Hussain is from a small town called Manawar, in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. Her father, Sadiq Hussain runs a bicycle repair shop at a bus stop.

The couple met when Tabassum was studying in Australia.

In 2016, Hussain received a scholarship for 45 lakh rupees from the Madhya Pradesh government to pursue higher studies and the next year, she moved to Brisbane, Australia. There, she met her future husband Ash Haunschild.
