Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu’s campaign in the Denmark Open ended with a tragic loss to Sayaka Sato of Japan in women's singles on Thursday.

Sindhu fought well but had lost with 13-21, 23-21, 18-21 to World No. 12 in the second round match that lasted an hour and five minutes. With this India’s campaign ends at Denmark Super Series premier.
This was Sindhu’s first appearance on court after The Olympics and but soon she will return at French Open next week.

Sindhu led in the first match 12-8 but Sato went ahead grabbing seven straight points. In the second game, Sindhu won the game but in the last one, it turned out to be a tough battle, but yet gave the Japanese a surge ahead.
