Punjab CM's Daughter Alleges He Abused Ex-Wife, Kids: 5 Things To Know

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's daughter, Seerat Kaur, has released an appalling video where she stated that her father physically and emotionally abused her mother and neglected both children, especially when he was inebriated. Kaur also alleged that he threw both children out of the residence in the middle of the night one time. She addressed him as 'CM Sahab' (Mr CM) instead of 'papa', stating that she does not respect him as a father anymore.

Seerat Kaur Mann's video has gone viral on social media, and netizens are sharing positive messages for Kaur, lauding her for her bravery in coming out with the statement. Kaur made jarring allegations against the Punjab CM, stating he was abusive towards his ex-wife (Kaur's mother) and children.

Kaur began by introducing herself in the video and stated that the Punjab CM has long lost the right to be called Papa. She clarified that there is no political motive behind making these allegations. She further said, "The only reason behind making this video is that I want our story to also come in front of the world."

Kaur stated that all that her mother, brother and she have faced are so horrifying that she cannot express them in words. She stated that her mother, Bhagwant Mann's ex-wife, chose to stay silent but Kaur said, "It appears our silence was misunderstood as our weakness. He doesn't realise that it is because of our silence that he is sitting in this position."

Punjab CM Neglected His Children, Says Kaur

Kaur stated that Bhagwant Mann's wife, Gurpreet Kaur Mann is allegedly pregnant, emphasising that the Chief Minister is expected to become a father to a third child. She then claimed that Mann had neglected her and her 19-year-old brother while they stayed with him, saying that he sidelined them but is ready to introduce another child.

She alleged that her brother was not allowed to visit him since they left the CM's residence. "On one occasion, he (her brother) was allowed inside but he was asked to leave later on the pretext that he could not stay there at night," she alleged.

23-year-old Kaur also questioned how Mann has been made the Chief Minister of the state when he could not even look after his own children.  "A person who cannot shoulder the responsibility of his children, how can he shoulder the responsibility of the people of Punjab?" she asked.

Reason For Divorce: Alcoholism, Abuse

Kaur alleged that Bhagwant Mann claimed that the reason he divorced his ex-wife was because she did not want him to join politics, while the real reasons were something else. Kaur stated that some of the reasons cannot be disclosed but stated that alcoholism, emotional and physical abuse, and compulsive lying were some of the reasons why her mother, herself, and her brother separated from the AAP leader.

"Went to Vidhan Sabha, Press Conferences Inebriated"

Seerat Kaur Mann stated that her father continues to abuse alcohol and goes to the Vidhan Sabha and gives press conferences while inebriated. She said, "He is disrespecting all the people who voted for him and depend on him," she claimed. She also alleged that he goes to the gurudwara while drunk.

Kaur stated that he emotionally blackmails her to this day, saying he will stop alcohol abuse but she continues to see him unchanged in the media. She then said, "I request to not be associated with him anymore as he has made it clear that he wants nothing to do with us."
