This incident occurred just days after another tragic accident in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, where Mumbai-based chartered accountant Anvi Kamdar fell into a gorge while making a video.
Kamdar, aged 27, was on a monsoon outing with seven friends when she fell into a 300-foot-deep gorge near the famous Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon last month. She was filming a video of the scenic surroundings when she slipped and fell. Her friends quickly alerted authorities, and police and local rescuers rushed to the scene. Despite being rushed to a nearby government hospital, Kamdar tragically died during treatment.
Both incidents highlight the dangers of taking selfies and filming vlogs in hazardous areas, especially during the monsoon season, when the terrain can be particularly slippery and treacherous. Local authorities have repeatedly urged visitors to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines to prevent such accidents.
