The post was first shared by a woman named Shikha Rathi on Instagram. She wrote about she discovered Ratan, the elderly pen seller on MG road in Pune. She wrote, "I met a real-life hero and champion- Ratan! I had gone out with a friend when we met Ratan. When we read her note, my friend immediately made a purchase. Ratan was overjoyed and we could see gratitude and kindness in her eyes! She thanked us and didn't even push us further to purchase more pens from her! Her integrity along with her sweet smile, kind heart and her joyful attitude made me purchase more pens from her!" She added that seeing Ratan smile filled her heart and that the old woman deserves to be celebrated and shared.

The image shared with the post had Ratan giving a hearty smile to the camera. She held a box of pens in her hands with the message for people to buy her pens. The post soon got flooded with comments from other users praising the woman. Many assured that they will visit the area and buy pens from Ratan.

One user wrote that Ratan's smiling face reminded them of their grandmother and asked Rathi to help her reach out to her. The user said that they stay in Mumbai and wish to puraches pens from Ratan. "Could You ?
