Sexual assault on AISA women protesters: A united protest has been called for October 13 at 2 p.m. near the Delhi Police Headquarter at Ashoka Road in New Delhi against the alleged sexual assault of women protestors outside the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah on October 10.
Out of 17 protesters, three women protester's Shreya Kapoor, Neha Tiwari and Neha Bora were allegedly sexually assaulted by the Delhi Police personnel. They were protesting outside the house of Home Minister Amit Shah demanding the removal of Ajay Mishra Teni from the post of Union Minister and Deputy of Shah.

I write this from a place of vulnerability and humiliation, the events that transpired today on our bodies are enough to disturb the cool temperament of those who have chosen to sit on the fences against the brutalities of this regime. pic.twitter.com/0EglMwK3CR

"Dispersing crowd is something else. The police generally do that but here it is a case of sexual assault in custody. They were inside the bus. If this becomes the procedure then it will be horrible. That is why this protest is very important," says Sucheta De, central committee member Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) to SheThePeople.
Shreya Kapoor, the Vice-President for All India Student's Association (AISA) Delhi and Delhi University student said, "There has been no action. When we were detained, after the beating had happened, We were taken to Mandir Marg Police Station. We insisted on filing Medico-Legal Case (MLC) report as we were in pain and needed medical assistance. The police said us that we do not do MLC, we will not file an FIR.
"It was a diplomatic proposition, plus we had new comrades with us who joined the protest for the first time and we did not want them to be troubled so we agreed. We wanted to leave the police station but we were kept there till 6 in the evening. At least five hours in that pain. Later, police filed a counter FIR against us, anyway. So now we are planning to approach the National Commission for Women and a formal complaint tomorrow."
There were three women protesters Neha Bora, who is the Secretary of AISA Delhi, Kapoor and Neha Tiwari. At first, all three were allegedly assaulted and Neha Tiwari's phone was snatched by the police. They were asked to get in the police van when they demanded the phone and denied to get in without it, they were dragged to the van.
In a tweet by Kavita Krishnan, All India Progressive Women's Association (AIPWA) Secretary, attached four images with notes by one of the protesters, Shreya Kapoor. It read that activists from the AISA were protesting outside Amit Shah's residence. The protest began at 1 p.m. and had 15 to 17 unarmed students. When the violence began, the male students were allegedly taken in the bus brutally by male officers present.
As per the notes, Banerjee and Tiwari were taken to opposite sides of the road and were allegedly dragged for at least 400 meters. Then the women police personnel allegedly lifted Banerjee's kurta and kicked her on private parts.
The protesters have also alleged that the Delhi Police lifted the clothes off one of the women protesters and kicked the other on her vagina while dragging her on road. They alleged that after being put inside the police bus for detention, the police allegedly kicked one of the protesters repeatedly on her private parts.

The AISA has demanded an explanation from the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Chanakyapuri Pragya Anand on the alleged assault. They have also demanded to sack the personnel who carried out the sexual assault.
SheThePeople tried contacting ACP Anand via her residence number and landline number, which are publicly available. One of her numbers was switched off and the other didn't get processed.
