Priyanka on Oprah: As fans await to stream Oprah Winfrey's Super Soul episode with Priyanka Chopra on March 20, they can look forward to knowing about some candid behind-the-scenes from the actor's life, with a special focus on her recently released memoir, Unfinished. The book, a New York Times bestseller, is the 38-year-old's first published writing; a feat that visibly leaves Winfrey impressed in her interview.
Uncovering the motivations behind writing Unfinished, Chopra says to her, "I am as a woman in a little bit more of a secure place where I could leave behind the insecurities of my 20s and not worry about things that used to scare me before as much. I have a little bit more confidence in myself and what I bring to the table, professionally, personally. I think that really helped me address my life."
She reveals she "had committed to writing the book in 2018 and between all those flights and little time in hotel rooms" she couldn't write. But with the time COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns afforded her, she could "delve deep" into the story of her own life.
Priyanka On Oprah: What To Expect From The Chat
Given the spotlight on Unfinished, which is based on the actor's own experiences, fans can expect a deepdive into what keeps her running to push the limits on herself as an actor, entrepreneur, businesswoman and woman. The Dil Dhadakne Do star recently also turned restaurateur with Sona, an Indian eatery in New York City.
Chopra hasn't ever shied away from speaking about the racism she has faced for her skin and appearance. Hopes, therefore, are pegged high on the actor bringing up the issue of racism on her chat with Winfrey, much like Meghan Markle did in her own explosive tell-all.
In another clip from the Super Soul with Chopra, Winfrey also touches upon her plans (if any) of motherhood. "Do you and Nick hope to have a family one day?” she probes. Get details on where and how to watch Priyanka on Oprah.
