Priyanka Gandhi COVID-19 negative, while husband and businessman Robert Vadra has tested positive for the virus. The Congress leader is reportedly in self-isolation and taking all required precautions. She has cancelled her consecutive trips to Assam, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where she was scheduled to visit for assembly election campaigns.
Sharing updates on her health, Priyanka Gandhi took to Twitter to release a short video, in which she said, "I'd like to apologise to everybody for not being able to be there. I wish all the candidates that I was supposed to campaign for the very, very best in the election. I hope all of you do well."

Priyanka Gandhi COVID-19 Negative But Cancels Upcoming Election Tours
Vadra shared news of testing positive for COVID-19 on Facebook, saying, "I have tested positive for Covid although I am asymptomatic so far. As per the Covid guidelines, Priyanka and I are self-isolating although she has tested negative."
He added their children, son Raihan and daughter Miraya, have not been with them these past days and the rest of the household too has tested negative.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has warned of the COVID-19 pandemic "turning from bad to worse" in India. Data on Friday morning reflected 1,23,03,131 total infections and 1,63,396 deaths in the country till now. Active cases number at 6,14,696.
Maharashtra is leading what is being called the second wave of COVID-19 as the worst-hit state in India, logging over 43,000 cases on Thursday, the highest single-day rise of cases since the pandemic began last year. In view of the situation, night curfew will come into effect from April 3 in Pune, which is currently contributing to the largest share of cases in Maharashtra.
