Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra becomes the first-ever South Asian actress to win a People’s Choice Award in America. The superstar won the award for her television series “Quantico” that airs on ABC channel in the US.
Priyanka Chopra who has been busy juggling Bollywood and Hollywood together plays the lead role in the American TV thriller series. The 33-year-old Miss World plays an FBI Agent named Alex Parish in the show. She was nominated against Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele and Marcia Gay Harden in the category.
The actress has just won millions of hearts with her performance as Kashibai in her latest film Bajirao Mastani even after being the supporting actor. And now 2016 has brought her first award in the name of the prestigious People’s Choice Awards. This is not it, no South Asian actor male or female has ever won this award.

Priyanka is on another high at the moment. Her horizons have broadened with this award that validates the kind of fame her role in Quantico is being received by the American audience. Last year has been full of successes for PeeCee as she did some meaningful roles like Mary Kom, Kashibai, Alex Parish etc that uplifted her career to the next level.
This year she would be seen in Gangajal 2 which is releasing soon. She plays the role of a cop in the movie. The trailer of the movie has increased the expectations of the audience as Priyanka’s role of a tough and determined cop looks very promising.

Priyanka Chopra is one of the pioneer actresses along with Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin who have changed the face of an Indian actress.
