Priyanka Chopra Becomes Member of Producers Guild Of America

Priyanka Chopra PGA Membership: The actor-producer has joined the Producers Guild of America (PGA) as its member, the official PGA website confirmed.

The organisation is a non-profit one which represents and promotes the interest of its members in the film and television industry. PGA has more than eight thousand members who produce works in non-fiction, documentary, animation, and scripted sectors.

The guild shared the news on its official Twitter handle. The post read, "#MembershipMonday: @producersguild welcomes actress, singer, and film producer @priyankachopra as a member. Ms. Chopra Jonas has 14 producer credits to her name, including an executive producer credit for #TheWhiteTiger."

Priyanka Chopra expressed gratitude in a reply. The actor has a production house named Purple Pebbles which made the national award winning Marathi films, Paani and Ventilator. Chopra holds several credits in the Indian film industry as well Hollywood. She did the television show titled Quantico and went on to do films such as Isn't It Romantic and Baywatch.

Her recent project as an executive producer and lead actor, The While Tiger won recognition at the Academy Awards. The film based on Arvind Adiga's 2008 book of the same titled was released on Netflix this year.

Chopra is going to be seen in Keanu Reeves starrer The Matrix: Resurrections and Russo brothers' drama series Citadel which is also has massive star cast. Other than that, she is also working on a romantic comedy film titled Text For You which is expected to release on Amazon Prime Video. Recently, her name was also announced as the one of the leading actors in Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.

The actor drew flak for her association with a reality show The Activist which will reportedly put individuals against each other and will reward the cause which wins the game. As per reports, the actor will be a judge on the show along with American celebrity Julianne Hough and Usher.
