What's In A Name? Priyanka Chopra On Why She Dropped 'Jonas'

Priyanka Chopra was in news recently for removing her surname ‘Jonas,’ from her Instagram. People and fans thought that there are chances of her divorce. Following her social media activity, fans speculated that Priyanka and Nick Jonas were on their way to split. The news of their divorce went viral on social media, and many people were disappointed. Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra denied all these rumours.  Finally, Priyanka Chopra has addressed the controversy surrounding her social media activity.

Priyanka Chopra in an interview with ETimes, that she only changed her Instagram bio to "match her Twitter bio" and that she didn't change it for any other reason. She found it amusing how everything has become so important. According to reports, she said, “I think I wanted something that is same to my Twitter handle, I mean the username. I just think it's funny how people make everything into such a big deal! It's social media, guys. Chill.” With her comment on Nick’s Instagram post, everything normalized.

Priyanka Chopra is overjoyed by the praise she is getting on social media of her film Matrix: The Resurrections by her fans.  She appears alongside Keanu Reeves and others in this film. She takes on the role of Sati in this one. This is a huge achievement for Priyanka Chopra, who has made a name for herself in Hollywood and all thanks go to her hard work. She recently went to the premiere of the film and posed with the entire cast. Nick Jonas' parents were also present at the premiere. She will appear soon in Zoya Akhtar’s next, “Jee Le Zara.”

Priyanka had spent the previous year filming her upcoming series Citadel in London. She admitted that being away from her husband, American pop singer Nick, for such a long time has been difficult, particularly since she moved to the United Kingdom for the past year and a half.

"This year has been extremely difficult," Priyanka admitted. Being away from home for a year, especially when you couldn't visit your family, was extremely difficult. "I was completely lonely."
